Farrell has always been in my blood. As far back as I can remember I was attending sporting events and walking through the halls with my uncle (Lou Baldassano '73) and grandfather. As athletic director for many years, my uncle gave me a unique perspective into how truly special this place really is.

After graduating from Farrell in 2005 I went on to attend FIT in Manhattan where I majored in illustration. Having taken the senior studio art class really helped me prepare myself for this. While at FIT  I started to take interest in graphic design as well as illustration. I went on to use this to work professionally in the field for a number of years.

When my uncle informed me that the art teacher at Farrell was planning on retiring I jumped on the opportunity to interview for the position.  I saw this as a perfect opportunity to share my passion for drawing and design with a new generation of potential artists. Not only teaching fundamentals but also topics that relate to their interests including sneaker design, logo design, and architecture helps keep the students engaged. Doing this opens up new outlets of creativity that they might not have known they had. This is truly a rewarding feeling that keeps me as passionate now as I was drawing in the same classrooms here over a decade ago.
